Jane Banks Mixed-Use Development

A study for a development in a historic corridor that would house two stories of apartments above ground floor retail and parking.  Dormer windows at the top floor create high ceilings to allow in more natural light, and the geometry is oreinted to maximize payback on solar panel arrays.  The roof forms and masonry walls reference the more industrial character to one side of the development, while the facade rhythm, windows and operable shading forms blend the language of historic urban housing to the other side.
