St. Joseph Townhouses - Process Work

Location: Warehouse District, New Orleans, LA

For our early conceptual work, we wanted to focus on two elements: the façade and how it works with the context of the Warehouse District. Secondly, the courtyard space and how it can provide the user the most intimate feeling while still being surrounded by downtown density of tourists and locals. Originally, brick was at the forefront of our design concepts. We later change this to material to stucco in order to achieve a similar feel and look for less cost. Being in the Fire District we had to account for robust materiality. The images above include brick or stucco but still feel elegant.
