Our Process: Pinning Together!

Identifying your style can be tough, especially when you are flooded with beautiful imagery on social media in every style imaginable. It can be challenging to use one word to describe a style, so we don’t ask our clients to use words, instead we ask them to pin. Yes, we use Pinterest.com as a tool in our design process. We particularly like the aspect of client-and-architect sharing this board together as means of real-time collaboration. We do set these specific project boards to “private” so we can create virtually in the same confidence as we would in a face-to-face design meeting.

I’m sharing some boards from my Pinterest account that I constantly pin to. You may want to bookmark this blog post for easy access to my resources.

Now for defining your aesthetic or at least visually defining the elements that will create your preferred design style, I’ve attached below some boards I have created that help me and my clients when looking at certain details of a building or home that will reference a certain style. My favorite are the top two!

I must create a warning for new pinners. You may fall into a “rabbit hole” pinning for hours, getting totally immersed in the design world, not knowing where you are, what time it is, when you last got up from your desk. Welcome to my world! I hope you enjoy pinning!
